Assignment in brief
As a committee secretary, you have a broad and qualified assignment where you are a key person in the democratic process. You ensure a legally secure, efficient, and modern committee administration for the Education Committee and are the hub that makes our political and administrative processes work.
You work closely with the head of administration, chairperson, school leaders, and case officers, contributing specialist competence in committee administration, case management, law, and information management. The role suits you if you are structured, meticulous, and thrive at the interface between law, administration, and organizational development.
Your main tasks
- Coordinate the committee process: plan meetings, prepare agendas and notices, publish documents internally/externally, take minutes, announce and dispatch decisions.
- Ensure the quality of decision-making materials and monitor that cases follow annual cycles, timelines, and formalities (Municipal Act, Administrative Procedure Act, Public Access/Confidentiality).
- Provide support and training to politicians/managers/case officers in committee formalities, record-keeping, information management plans, delegation orders, etc.
- Case management in the municipality's system (meritorious if you have worked in Evolution and Netpublicator).
- Public access service: manage the release of public documents and inquiries from the public/media according to the Public Access Act and the principle of public access.
Your profile

- Collaborative and pedagogical, comfortable in a politically governed organization and used to handling multiple deadlines simultaneously.
Qualifications
University degree in public administration, political science, law (public law), or social sciences with a clear connection to the public sector. Experience in committee administration/case management and application of Municipal Act, Administrative Procedure Act, Public Access Act, and GDPR is meritorious.
You have a good ability to use modern digital tools, including AI-based support functions to streamline and ensure quality in administration, text production, and information management.
- Good knowledge of Microsoft 365, especially Word, Outlook, Teams, SharePoint, and Excel, as much of the work takes place in digital collaboration and document environments.
- Familiar with working in case management systems and able to quickly familiarize yourself with new digital tools and administrative systems.
- Ability to work structured and efficiently in digital workflows, including managing document versions, information security, and sharing materials.
